The music styles featured on "Takeshi Nakamura" are ambient, drumfunk, and abstract.

Takeshi Nakamura’s latest EP on Pinecone Moonshine begins with dense, dissonant layers. A Haze of Illusion is nearly ambient except for a low modulating rumble. Piano fades in and out with hints of a harmony. Small field recordings of percussion can be heard in the background like the controls to the music.

With a fast introduction of sound effects, Worms Flock at My Brains gets right to the main fast-paced drum break. The bassline, hammered out on the keyboard, is the strongest percussive element. Quirky vocals, high pitched distorted synth lines, and broken melodic parts set on repeat fill in the track.

Replay returns to freeform, looping, and overlapping synthetic sounds. Loose rhythmic beeps and clicks collide and drift apart.

I’m Strange is part Drum and Bass and part Jazz combined into a chaotic selection. Low piano notes dominate the mix amid dense and numerous layers of synthesizers. The drums are hectic and only interrupted by boomy, percussive noises in the second half.
