[PCMS055] Fr.om - Subroutine

Fr.om’s Seed Coat starts with kick drums, hats, vocal snippets, layered over alternating tones setting a high energy pace. After a pause, the Soul Pride break comes in as the strongest element. The bass becomes brighter and more distorted and the music gets quite dense with layers.

Fr.om’s Sign is similar to Seed Coat. However the break beats are more Lo-fi, the pads quieter and the pitch a bit lower. Different drum breaks cut in. A raw, modulating synth adds more movement to rhythm and takes the lead in the second half.

The style of the music is reminiscent of Drum and Bass or Drumfunk from netlabel Exegene (archive.org/details/exegene).
